Winter Blues

1. Britt Work Jacket in Recycled Denim

Alex Mill has become my go-to for great quality, well-priced, wardrobe staples. Check out Chairman Micky Drexler on my charming friend, Laura Vinroot Poole’s podcast, What We Wore. He is an interesting character and has had quite a career in retail.

2. Sesame Chicken with Cashews and Dates

We have been in a major dinner rut lately and this dish is the perfect solution. It’s an in-between-seasons, satisfying and flavorful meal that is not nearly as hard as it might look!

3. Spiral Wineglass

A fun alternative to your everyday wine, water or juice glass. These beauties from Louise Row at Sharland England will boost your winter blahs.

4. Poppy Print Floral Trapeze Dress

Easter is on the horizon. This dress for little girls from Pepa London is perfect for sunnier days ahead.

5. No. 6 Kelli in Silver

When I worked for Marni, Consuelo always reminded us that “metallics are a neutral” and I absolutely agree. These silver ballet flats are perfect to throw on with anything you are wearing for that transition to spring/summer.

6. Hanataba Fabric

Right before the holidays, I had the pleasure of visiting the Chelsea Textiles + Robert Kime showroom. The delicate charm and character of every single piece took my breath away. I would love to incorporate some pieces in our house someday.

7. Beyond that, the Sea

This is a recent bookclub pick written by Laura Spence-Ash. I was swept away while reading it, dreaming of idyllic summers at their Maine cottage. I also found myself thinking so much about how the lives of children are shaped based on their experiences and relationships. Although this story was mostly set in the 1940’s, to me, it remains relevant even today.
